AN EXTENSION OF THE ARTIST 

520 W28th is Zaha Hadid’s first New York City residential property located in just along the Highline.

HUSH was asked to design an interactive gallery experience for luxury buyers in hopes to drive sales and communicate Zaha’s unique vision, while contruction was to be completed.

An intern at the time, my role was small, but given Zaha Hadid is a personal hero of mine, it was an honor to composite a few 3D animations of her designs for the showcase.

There were many moving parts to this full experience and a huge team between Mother Design who did the 520 W 28th branding and HUSH which was responsible for designing and animating both the brand video and various animated vignettes for specific offerings that prospective buyers could browse through via tablet.

As a part of the HUSH team my role was to help composite various floor plans that would appear in the vignettes. Huge thanks to Gerald Mark Soto, for being my guide and teacher on one of my first big animation projects using 3D.

Vignettes

My role as an animation intern was to take floor plans from the building and animate their 3D extrusion from a blank white clay, in Cinema 4D, and then composite each floor plan’s details as a layer on top in After Effects.
